Youth center funding restored

On a unanimous vote Monday evening, the Mountain Home City Council voted to restore subsidies for the city's youth center following a recent funding suspension.

Earlier this month, the council halted $15,000 in yearly funding for the downtown facility, citing a lack of accountability involving its board of directors.

Councilman Geoff Schroeder said the non-profit group lacked a level of accountability -- a second set of eyes reviewing and approving every check written by the youth center staff.
