The Mountain Home Lady Tigers came a way with a win and a loss in last week's conference girls soccer games.

Mountain Home 5, Nampa 1

Mountain Home scored early and often as they downed the Nampa girls 5-1 last Tuesday at home at Eastside Park.

Mountain Home got two goals from Rachel Warila, a goal and assist from Claudia Bermensolo, and also had goals from Kelly Robins and Shelby Henrick. Becky Vogl had 11 saves on goal for Mountain Home.

Mountain Home girls soccer coach Mike Fisher was happy to get the win.

"We played OK today. We tried some new things. We had some good passing, some good defense and some really good goalkeeper play."

Bishop Kelly 3, Mountain Home 0

The start of the second time through the conference schedule showed Mountain Home has made tremendous improvement since losing to the Lady Knights 8-0 earlier this year. However, they still came up short, this time 3-0, at Eastside Park in Mountain Home last Thursday.

The loss dropped the Lady Tigers to 2-5-1 in conference play.

Mountain Home plays three games this week. They were at Emmett on Monday, host Skyview today, Sept. 22, and travel to Jerome on Saturday for a non-conference game.
