The Lady Tigers opened their 2010 girls soccer season last Tuesday at Bishop Kelly and lost to the Lady Knights 8-0.

"It was a rough start," said first-year head coach Mike Fisher of the Bishop Kelly loss. "We had to make some adjustments -- a little bit of coaching adjustments and a little bit of playing adjustments, so we'll split that loss."

The Lady Tigers were home at Eastside Park against Emmett on Thursday and jumped out to a 4-0 halftime lead on their way to a 5-1 win.

Rachel Warila scored two goals for Mountain Home. Shelby Henrick, Kelly Robins and Crystal Juarez also scored goals.

Becky Vogl had nine saves on goal as goalkeeper.

"They played super well today," said Coach Fisher. "They've been working hard, they're unselfish, and it really paid off today."

Mountain Home was at Skyview Tuesday and will go to Columbia Thursday. They play at home next Tuesday against Middleton.
