Event goes 'to the dogs'

More than a score of dogs turned out to enjoy a chance to play together in the city pool.

The city's swimming pool literally "went to the dogs" Sunday afternoon.

The day after the pool closed for the season to humans, pool officials opened it up to a pool party for dogs from 2-5 p.m.

A Parks and Recreation Departments spokesperson said the idea arose out of similar programs at other pools in the region.
