Invention convention begins at library

Thursday, August 19, 2010
Drawing shows Franklin's plans for his lightning rod, one of his most famous inventions and one still used in buildings today.

A display of inventions by local children and adults this week wraps up the activities being held in conjunction with the Benjamin Franklin Tercentenary Library Traveling Exhibit at the Mountain Home Public Library.

The display of inventions will continue through Aug. 24, and children and adults are invited to bring their inventions to the library for display during that time.

The displays honor Franklin's creativity as an inventor.
