School registration opens Friday

Registration in the Mountain Home School District begins Friday, when students in all elementary schools-- through fourth grade -- begin to sign up for classes. Other grades register next week.

Kindergarten students also will register at their schools on that date. A child is eligible to attend kindergarten if they are five years of age on or before Sept. 1.

School will begin on Aug. 17, about two weeks earlier than normal.
