Lady Tiger softball team stars Jennica Quintal and Arlene Futch signed last week to play college softball.

Quintal has accepted a scholarship to Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, Ore., where she will be playing softball for the Lady Chukars.

"It's exciting to have the opportunity to play on after high school," said Quintal, who was third in hits on the Lady Tigers this past spring with 53. She was also third in runs scored with 40, hit .465, and knocked in 33 runs. She only struck out once in 114 plate appearances.

Quintal played in the outfield for the Lady Tigers the past two years during their back-to-back state championships.

Arlene Futch has accepted a scholarship to Yakima Valley Community College where she will be playing softball for the Lady Yaks.

"I really like the school and the coach is really awesome, so I think it will be a great experience and I'm really excited about leaving in September," she said.

Futch played second base for the Lady Tigers and hit .492 with 26 RBIs. She was second on the team in hits with 58, runs scored wit 48, had 14 doubles and tied for second in triples with three.
