Kents to celebrate 70th wedding anniversary

Joe and Pauline Kent of Mountain Home will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on June 12 with a party for family and friends at the Hampton Inn & Suites.

They were married on June 10, 1940, at Sacred Heart Church in Long Pine, Neb.

The Kents moved from Nebraska to Idaho in 1941 when Joe began working for the Union Pacific Railroad. Their first Idaho home was in Mountain Home.

After multiple moves, they returned to Mountain Home in 1957 when Joe was appointed agent of the Mountain Home Depot.

Their children are: Nancy Kent Campbell (Gary) of Houston, Texas; Steve Kent (Evelyn) of Richfield, Idaho; Tim Kent of Boise, and Marilyn Kent Byrne (Bill) of College Station, Texas. Their oldest child, Dick, died in 1958.

They also have ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
