Voter registration still available

Wednesday, May 19, 2010

With both the primary election (May 25) and the temporary school supplemental levy election (May 27) just around the corner, voters are being encouraged to make sure they are registered to vote.

A person who has not moved or changed their name, and who voted in at least one of the last four federal elections remains registered for the primary election. For the school district election, they remain registered if they are listed on the county voter rolls.

The "general" registration cutoff date was April 30. If a person registers now they must register separately with the school district for the levy election and the county for the primary election.
