Tennis teams place at recent matches

The Mountain Home girls tennis team went 2-2 last week in tennis matches.

Tiger Boys 3 Nampa Girls 2

The Mountain Home girls beat Nampa in a home tennis match last Monday while the Tiger boys came close. Due to weather issues, the match was played scoring the eight-game ProSet.

In girls' singles, Carolyn Bailey dropped the #1 match 2-8, while Natalie Lasher won the #2 match, 8-4, and Karla Rogers won the #3 match 9-7.

In girls' doubles, Tessa Pachner and Emma Wenger dropped the #1 match 3-8, but Sophia Stoltmann and Miriam Forrest won the #2 match 8-3.

In boys' singles, Bryan Wheeler lost the #1 match 2-8, John Teng lost at #2, 5-8, and Stephen Bush lost the #3 match 1-8.

In boys' doubles, Jalen Gibbons and Blake Pachner dropped the #1 match 3-8 and Drew Hopkins and Tommy Miller won the #2 match by forfeit.

In mixed doubles, Drew Borgholthaus and Allie Draper won the #1 match 8-6,and Chris Hall and Rachel Kowalewski won the #2 match by forfeit.

Mountain Home honored 10 seniors last Wednesday for Senior Night at the match against Emmett.

The Tiger girls lost a close 4-3 match, while the boys dropped a 5-2 match to Emmett.

In girls' singles, Carolyn Bailey dropped the #1 match 3-6, 3-6. Natalie Lasher won the #2 match 6-2, 6-3, and Danielle Lord won the #3 match by forfeit.

In girls' doubles, Anna Martin and Leah Riley won the #1 match 6-4, 6-3 and Sophia Stoltmann and Miriam Forrest lost the #2 match 3-6, 1-6.

In boys' singles, Bryan Wheeler lost a close #1 match 5-7, 4-6, Casey Pehlke lost the #2 match 5-7, 3-6 and Ben Cumber lost the #3 match 0-6, 1-6.

In boys' doubles, Drew Hopkins and Tommy Miller won the #1 match 6-4, 7-5 and Stephen Bush and Drew Borgholthaus won the #2 match by forfeit.

In mixed doubles, Ross Pataro and Brittany Ryan dropped the #1 match 1-6, 2-6 and Chris Hall and Rachel Kowalewski lost the #2 match 0-6, 1-6.

The Tigers closed out their conference schedule Thursday at Nampa. In regular scoring, the Bulldogs prevailed in booth girls' and boys' matches.

In girls' singles, Carolyn Bailey dropped the #1 match 0-6, 0-6, Natalie Lasher lost the #2 in three sets, 6-4, 0-6, 4-6, and Shelby DeLeon dropped the #3 match 1-6, 0-6.

In girls' doubles, Tessa Pachner and Emma Wenger won the #2 match 6-2, 7-6 (TB1), while Anna Martin and Leah Riley dropped the #1 match 3-6, 1-6.

In boys' singles, Bryan Wheeler dropped the #1 match 4-6, 2-6, Casey Pehlke lost at #2 by a 1-6, 4-6 score, and Stephen Bush lost the #3 match 1-6, 0-6.

In boys' doubles, Galen Gibbons and Blake Pachner lost the #1 match 3-6, 2-6 and Drew Hopkins and Tommy Miller lost the #2 match 1-6, 3-6.

Ross Pataro and Brittany Ryan won the #1 mixed doubles match 6-2, 6-0 and Chris Hall and Rachel Kowalewski lost the #2 match 0-6, 1-6.

Tiger Girls 5, Minico Girls 2 Minico Boys 4, Tiger Boys 3

Mountain Home won the girls' tennis match at Minco Saturday 5-2, while the boys lost a close one, 4-3.

Mountain Home won two of the three girls' singles matches.

Natalie Lasher won the #2 match 6-1, 6-0 and Carla Rogers won the #3 match 6-0, 6-0. Carolyn Bailey lost at #1, going 3-6, 3-6.

Mountain Home won the #2 girls' doubles match, as Sophia Stoltmann and Marian Forrest won in three sets, 1-6, 6-2, 6-3.

Anna Martin and Leah Riley dropped a close match at #1 by a 7-5, 3-6, 5-7 margin.

In boys' singles, Ross Pataro dropped the #1 match 2-6, 1-6, John Teng lost at #2 match 3-6, 1-6, and Steven Bush lost the #3 match 1-6, 2-6.

In boys doubles, Jalen Gibbons and Justin Rogow won the #2 match in three sets, 6-4, 2-6, 7-5. Drew Hopkins and Tommy Miller dropped the #1 match in a close one, 2-6, 7-6 (TB4), 3-6.

The Tigers swept the mixed doubles matches as Drew Borgholthaus and Ally Draper won the #1 match 6-1, 6-0, and Ben Dearing and Natalie Bush won the #2 match 6-3, 6-3.

The Tigers will compete in the District III 4A Tennis Tournament at Columbia High School in Nampa Thursday through Saturday.
