Track team places at year's last meet

Mountain Home traveled down to Jerome last Friday for their final track meet of the regular season before this week's district meet.

Mountain Home finished third in the girls competition. Jerome won the meet with 188 points, Emmett was second with 126, Mountain Home had 116, Kuna 82, Minico 80, Canyon Ridge 73 and Twin Falls 3.

Mountain Home won the 4x100-meter relay and the 4x200-meter relay.

Jordan Vivier had third-place efforts in the 1600- and 3200-meter runs. Jessica Liercke was third in the triple jump and fifth in the 100-meters. Jessica Tindall was third in the 200-meters and Shelby Henrick was third in the 400-meters.

Mountain Home finished third in both the 4x400-meter relay and the medley relay.

Haley Schaefer was fourth in the 1600 and fifth in the 800 and 3200. Kristin Kreutzer was fourth in the shot put.

Kacee Cameron was sixth in the long jump and triple jump, Ashley Harmon finished sixth in the 100-meters, Regina Rodriguez was sixth in the shot put and Shelbie Toenjes was sixth in the discus.

Marissa Streeter was seventh in the 100 meters and McKenzie Dorr was seventh in the 3200.

Eighth-place finishes went to Vanessa Estrella in the 400 meters, Ashley Mayberry in the 1600, Katie Urquidi in the 300-meter hurdles, and Cheyenne Castillo in the shot put.

Jerome also won the boys meet, in a close competition.

Jerome had 136 points, Kuna was second with 121.5, Emmett had 115.5, Minico 111.5, Mountain Home 110, Canyon Ridge 72.5 and Twin Falls 3.

Tyree Harmon picked up firsts for Mountain Home in the 110-meter hugh hurdles and the triple jump. He finished third in the 100 meters.

J.T. Cristobal finished second in the 100 meters, and sixth in the 200 meters. Jake Lewis finished second in both the shot put and discus.

Jovanne Carrizales was second in the 1600, fifth in the 800 and seventh in the 3200-meter run. Tyler Knauth was second in the 400 meters.

The Mountain Home squad had third place efforts in the 4x100- and 4x400-meter relay events.

Colby Hall finished fourth in the pole vault and the Mountain Home medley relay team finished fourth.

Chaise Hopkins was fifth in the long jump and Mountain Home's 4x200-meter relay team finished fifth. Devonte McClain finished sixth in the 1600-meter run.

Seventh-place efforts went to Robert Jackio in the 400 meters and Alexander Ling in the 110-meter high hurdles.

Raif Armstrong was eighth in the 400 meters and Jacob Perry was eighth in the shot put.

The Tigers travel to Skyview Thursday and Friday this week for the District Track and Field Championships.
