Letter to the Editor

Wootan would be good county commissioner

Saturday, May 8, 2010

Dear editor:

We support Wes Wootan for Elmore County Commissioner for the District 2 seat.

His stated agenda is to "serve the people" and to make the right decisions for all the citizens of Elmore County, and not to outside interests that do not benefit our county.

Wes is a life-long resident of Glenns Ferry. He is a successful farmer and business owner of an auto parts store, and has served his community well as an active community leader.

For 17 years he was involved in the Three-Island Crossing event in Glenns Ferry, and has also served on various state commissions, such as the Idaho Potato Commission.

He graduated from Glenns Ferry High School where he was student-body president. He holds a business/teaching degree from Boise State University.

He and his wife, Christine, have four children and 13 grandchildren, who have chosen to live in Idaho.

If you met Wes or read his informational brochure, you would see that he is an outstanding candidate for the Elmore County Commission.

We urge you to vote for Wes Wootan, on the Republican ballot, in the May 25 primary election.

It is time for a change!

Chuck and Phyllis Whipple
