The Mountain Home Lady Tigers kept their conference record unblemished with wins over Bishop Kelly and Emmett last week.

Mountain Home 16, Bishop Kelly 0

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers scored early and often in a 16-0 four-inning win over Bishop Kelly last Tuesday at Eastside Park in Mountain Home.

Blas Lord picked up her first no-hitter of her career, striking out six and walking two in improving to 3-2 on the season.

Mountain Home pounded out 18 hits in the win. Nickayla Skinner had four hits, including two doubles and a home run, and knocked in five runs. Madison Siefferman, Arlene Futch and Jennica Quintal each had three hits. Siefferman had a triple and knocked in a run, Quintal had a double and knocked in three, and Futch had two RBIs.

Megan Kelly had two hits, including a two-run home run, her first of the season. Charde Huntington had an RBI-triple, Lindsay Sessions had an RBI-single and Courtney Christiansen also had a double.

"I'm very proud of the girls," said Mountain Home Lady Tiger softball coach Chris Asbury. "Our defense supported Blas -- one of the rare times that we've stepped up and played solid defense behind her -- and that was Blas' best performance in the circle thus far. She threw a lot of first-pitch strikes, which has been kind of her Achilles all year, so I'm very proud of the effort all the way around."

Mountain Home 11, Emmett 1

The Lady Tigers came away from Emmett Thursday with an 11-1 conference win over the Lady Huskies in five innings.

A six-run third inning put the game out of reach and the Lady Tigers pushed their lead up to 11-1 in the fifth to win by the 10-run rule.

"It was an excellent win," said Coach Asbury. "Another 10-run victory, but I think we were kind of flat. That was kind of the feeling there. We obviously weren't overlooking Emmett or anybody for that matter, but I think the energy level was just a little bit down. We'll work on that as we move forward."

Courtney Christiansen had an RBI-triple, Jennica Quintal and Nickayla Skinner both had RBI-doubles, Madison Siefferman had a double and scored three runs, Arlene Futch and Megan Kelly both had RBI-singles, and Lindsay Sessions and Charde Huntington also had hits.

Lady Tigers pitcher Nickayla Skinner scattered three hits and gave up an unearned run while striking out seven to improve to 12-0 on the season to boost Mountain Home's winning ways.

The victory improved Mountain Home to 8-0 in conference and 15-2 overall. The Lady Tigers were at Middleton Tuesday and return home to face off against Nampa on Thursday.
