Rain halts match
Rain washed out Mountain Home's lone conference tennis match last Monday.
The Tigers traveled to Burley on Saturday where they were blanked by the Bobcats, 7-0, in both girls and boys action.
In girls singles, Carolyn Bailey lost a close match at #1, 4-6, 4-6. Danielle Lord lost the #2 match 0-6, 2-6 and Shelby DeLeon lost the #3 match 3-6, 2-6.
In girls doubles, Anna Martin and Leah Riley lost the #1 match 0-6, 5-7 and Tessa Pachner and Emma Wenger lost the #2 match 1-6, 2-6.
In boys singles, Ross Pataro lost the #1 match 0-6, 2-6, Daniel Courtright lost the #2 match 1-6, 0-6, and Chris Massonett lost the #3 match 0-6, 0-6.
In boys doubles, Drew Hopkins and Tommie Miller lost the #1 match, 1-6, 0-6, and Ben Dearing and Eric Ward dropped the #2 match, 2-6, 0-6.
In mixed doubles, Allie Draper and Jacob Hansen lost the #1 match 0-6, 3-6 and Rachel Kowalewski and Jeremy Gillies lost the #2 match 2-6, 5-7.
"We were minus a lot of our players ... so we had six JV boys augment the team, plus a lot of our #2 and #3 position players had to play a higher position level than they were used to," said Coach Tamzy House.
The Tigers were home against Nampa on Monday. Their make-up match with Emmett is scheduled for today, April 14, at Emmett. They are home against Kuna on Thursday as they begin playing for seeding purposes at district. They also have a non-conference match against Minico on Saturday.
