Deputies train for shooters in schools

With classes suspended for spring break, Elmore County Sheriff's Department personnel took advantage of an empty school building to conduct a training exercise at Glenns Ferry School last Thursday.

The scenario involved several gunmen at the school.

Nineteen deputies took part in the all-day exercise, which helped them hone their skills for facing down an armed suspect in a school environment.
