Tiger track squads claw to victory over Nampa

Mountain Home swept Nampa in a dual track meet Friday at Tiger Field, winning the girls and boys competitions.

The Tigers literally ran away from Nampa in the girls competition, running up 126 points to Nampa's 19. The Tiger boys edged Nampa 74-72.

Mountain Home racked up 17 first-place efforts on the day, winning every event except the pole vault.

Jessica Liercke took four, first-place efforts, winning the 100-meter dash and the triple jump, and anchoring the 4x100-meter relay and 4x200-meter relay teams that also won.

Jordan Vivier, Shelby Henrick and Dakota Barrie were involved in three first-place efforts. Vivier won the 1600- and 3200-meter runs, and was a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that placed first. She also had a third-place effort in the 800-meter run. Henrick won the 200- and 400-meter dashes, and was also a member of the 4x400-meter relay team.

Barrie won the 100- and 200-meter hurdles, and also ran on the 4x400-meter relay team. Haley Schaefer won the 800-meter run, was the anchor of the winning 4x400-meter relay team, and was second in the 3200.

Jasmyne Moore was a member of the winning 4x100- and 4x200-meter relay teams and finished second in the 100- and 300-meter hurdles.

Lauren Moore and Jessica Tindall were also members of the 4x100- and 4x200-meter relay teams. Moore was second in the long jump and Tindall was second in the 200 meters.

Shelby Posey took first in the shot put and second in the discus.

Natasha Feekes won the high jump, Chelsea Bacon won the long jump, Shelbie Toenjes won the discus and Mountain Home's 800-meter spring medley relay team, made up of Danielle Perkins, Ashley Harmon Chloe Baul and Vanessa Estrella, took first. Adrianna Callahan finished second in the high jump and third in the 400 meters.

Keesha Janis was second in the shot put, and third in the discus. Kacee Cameron was second in the triple jump and third in the long jump.

McKenzie Sandberg was second in the 200 meters and Ashley Mayberry was second in the 1600.

Third-place efforts went to Ashley Harmon in the 100 meters, McKenzie Dorr in the 3200, Brittany Orie in the 100-meter hurdles, Marissa Streeter in the triple jump and Kristen Kreutzer in the shot put.

The Tiger boys picked up tenfirst-place efforts on the day.

Tyree Harmon won the 110-meter hurdles and the triple jump, and was third in the long jump. Jovanne Carrizales won the 1600- and 3200-meter runs, and was third in the 800-meter run.

Alexander Ling won the 300-meter hurdles, was second in the 110-meter hurdles and finished third in the high jump. Devonte McClain won the 800-meter run and was a member of the winning 1600-meter sprint medley relay team (along with Luke Filipovich, Robert Jackio and Ricky Castillo).

Jake Lewis won the discus and finished second in the shot put. Tyler Knauth won the 400-meter dash while J.T. Cristobal won the 200-meter dash.

Meanwhile, Clayton Carpenter finished second in the 300-meter hurdles and third in the 110-meter hurdles. Dylan Johnson was second in the 3200-meter run and pole vault.

Third-place efforts went to Raif Armstrong in the 400 meters, Gavin Cline in the 1600, Aaron Menhart in the 300-meter hurdles, Perry Savage in the pole vault, and Luke Filipovich in the triple jump.
