Rose seeks re-election; sees budget, water as key issues

Thursday, March 25, 2010

District 2 Elmore County Commissioner Larry Rose will seek a fourth term as commissioner.

Rose announced his candidacy last week after filing his petition to run in the May 25 primary election. He faces a challenge in that election from Wes Wootan, who like Rose is from Glenns Ferry.

  • If Rose sees the budget and water as "key issues" then he certainly does NOT deserve to be re-elected; mind you for a fourth term! Yes both subjects are very important but how can you think the "budget" is key if you aren't willing to allow reputable company(s) to come in and increase what we have to spend. And if "water" were a key issue for him then why has he led the commission to overturn several subdivisions that the P&Z approved with community wells/septics to allow each home have individual wells and septics? He has ran this county into the ground and at this point he rules the Commissioners. He makes extreamly poor decisions when he can make one and refuses to do the research and reading necessary when given the material. He is paid very good money to take care of us and our future but yet no major improvements have been done in several years in this county. He is part of the "Good Ole Boys" network and it is time for some new blood! Step out of your comfort zone and vote for Wooten this term.

  • yes indeed, out with the old in with some new blood that hopefully will better this community and listen to it's residents needs, instead of greed.
