Team wins state debate championship

The team of Raif Armstrong and Chasity Custer became the first Mountain Home High School team to ever win a title at the state debate tournament as the pair was victorious in Public Forum Debate.

Both seniors, Armstrong and Custer boasted a 4-2 record in the six preliminary rounds and were the fourth seed going into the round of eight.

After a split 2-1 decision in quarter finals, Armstrong and Custer were unanimous winners in both the semi-finals and final rounds to earn the title of state champions.
