Hospital board offers statement on doctors

Dear editor:

Elmore Medical Center's Board of Trustees appreciates the positive support from the community and appreciates the concerns expressed by Dr. Baldridge and Dr. Jeffrey's patients when they learned Dr. Baldridge and Dr. Jeffrey's contracts with Trinity Mountain Family Practice Physicians Group, LLC, would not be renewed.

Contracting decisions are made solely by the medical practice group and involve a number of considerations. Elmore Medical Center does not have influence over private physician group's contracting decisions.

Moving forward, the hospital's role will be to encourage and support Dr. Baldridge and Dr. Jeffrey in their efforts to continue practicing in this area while at the same time respecting the relationships we have with other physicians serving our community.
