CLDC launches survey to find out what community wants

Thursday, March 4, 2010

The Community Leadership Development Committee (CLDC) is launching this week the first of at least two surveys it plans to conduct to gauge the interest of community members in supporting Treasure Valley YMCA programs locally.

The initial survey is "a non-scientific survey designed to get the feelings of the community as a whole to see what programs the community will support," according to Jack Walborn, who along with Jeff Johnson heads the CLDC's subcommittee charged with preparing the surveys.

Walborn said the survey going out this week will be used to help develop a professional, scientific survey currently scheduled for early summer (June or July).

  • THis survey is poorly written and incomplete. The categories are too vague. An equine center? Maybe 30 out of 15,000 people would benifit from something like that; and what type of equine center? An indoor arena (waste of $$), a stable, trainers, teachers, horses (for rent, can you stable yours there?), etc...be specific!

Don't we have a place for motorcross?
