Students urge help with aluminum drive

Thursday, February 25, 2010

Dear editor:

This is Hacker Middle School students writing, and we would like to inform the community that we are collecting aluminum for the Ronald McDonald House. We are starting the collection on March 1st and ending on April 30th. United Metals LLC (Shorty's Salvage) will be matching pound for pound. Our goal is 500 pounds.

Any recyclable metals will be accepted at Shorty's Salvage. We would appreciate any involvement from the community.

Dear editor:

We, students at Hacker Middle School, are planning an aluminum drive for the Ronald McDonald House, March 1st - April 30th. Our goal is 500 lbs of recyclable aluminum. We will accept the following items: soda cans, pop tabs and license plates. United Metals will be matching our collection pound for pound.

You can drop off the aluminum at Short's Salvage and say it is for Hacker. Please collect these items we have listed above and spread the great news. It would be really helpful.

Thank you for reading our letter.
