Mark Anthony Bryant honored as Person of the Year at banquet

Mark Anthony Bryant was honored as Person of the Year at the 21st Annual Black History Banquet in Mountain Home on Saturday.

Bryant's selection for the honor was a fitting symbol for the theme of this year's banquet: "The History of Black Economic Empowerment."

An Air Force retiree who settled in Mountain Home, Bryant is the owner of Mark Anthony's Purveyors of Fine Cigars, a combination bar and high-end cigar store. Since opening the business in 2006, he has provided over $2,000 in arts scholarships to local graduating seniors.
