We'd follow these doctors anywhere

Monday, February 15, 2010

Dear editor:

You have GOT to be kidding! Just when I thought that I had FINALLY found a doctor who is the best thing that ever happened to this town, the "powers that be" in Mountain Home have decided not to renew his contract.

Scott Baldridge is, by far, the most talented and HONEST of any of the doctors who have ever practiced here.

If you don't believe me, just look at, and ask all the people who are his patients. If the hospital and Trinity Mountain allow this very capable and respected doctor to seek employment elsewhere, then shame on you! If jealousy on others' part plays a role, then you deserve nothing but shame.

I and my family have NO PROBLEM trying to find a doctor somewhere OTHER than in Mountain Home. I want NO part of Dr. Baldridge's being forced to leave this community. I would have no problem driving to Boise or wherever he practices medicine within 100 miles from here. That is how important he is to us. He has been a lifeline to our family for our medical needs.

To whoever is behind this, please re-consider your decision. The health and well-being of our community depends on you.

Beth Cheney
