Sophomore girls defeat Jerome by 1, Emmett by 12

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers picked up two more wins in sophomore girls basketball.

Mtn. Home 31

Jerome 30

Mountain Home battled from behind in the fourth quarter to down Jerome, 31-30, last Tuesday at Jerome.

Mountain Home led 9-7 after a quarter and 15-12 at the half.

They found themselves down 26-22 heading into the fourth quarter, but battled back to win 31-30.

Emilee Schetzle and Kacee Cameron paced the Lady Tigers scoring at Jerome. Schetzle had 13 points and Cameron 10. JaDene Palmer, Tessa Pachner, Shannon Caldwell and Marissa Streeter each added two points.

Mtn. Home 36

Emmett 24

The Lady Tigers outscored Emmett 29-13 in the second half to down the Lady Huskies 36-24 in conference action at Emmett Thursday night.

Mountain Home led 4-3 after a quarter but found themselves down 11-7 at halftime. An 11-2 edge in the third quarter put Mountain Home up 18-13 after three and they pulled away in the fourth for a 36-24 win.

JaDene Palmer led Mountain Home with 12 points at Emmett. Kacee Cameron added seven points, Marissa Streeter and Emilee Schetzle both had six and Alexis Berry added five points.

The win improved the Lady Tiger sophomores to 3-3 on the season and 1-1 in conference.
