Artists' open house slated

Brown Wrapper Framing LLC, in conjunction with the Mountain Home Arts Council and the visual arts committee, will host a holiday open house from 5-9 p.m. Dec. 4 at the store at 195 N. 2nd St.

Scheduled before the annual Holiday Parade of Lights, the event features an assortment of art displays from more than a dozen local artists.

Artists scheduled to appear during the evening include: Jerry Kencke, Marcus Mashburn, Steve Gabriel, Cynthia Henstock, Brenda Raub, Michaela French, Charlotte Moody-Emerson, Lee Blackwell, K.C. Duerig, Tom Bennick, Fred Choate, Linda Kirkendall, Katie Cade and Patti Hamaishi.

The event is free and open to the public and features wine tasting, courtesy of Carmela Vineyards, as well as refreshments.

  • What a great event. We have some very talented local artists. Jerry Kencke's photography is always my favorite at these events. Great event if you have some time to attend.

    The Brown Wrapper also has some great gifts available. I hope the event goes well. If we shop local (as much as we can anyway), it will keep these businesses around. LOVE the Brown Wrapper! They have a computer program that will take a photo of a piece of art you want framed and show you what it will look like in a mat and frame. That really helps. Great people with great customer service.
