Retiring cop to be honored for 33 years of service

Sgt. James T. Patterson's 33 years of service to the community will be honored during a special open house Friday, Dec. 4, from 5-7 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 515 E. 2nd South St.

Patterson's last day before retiring as a member of the Mountain Home Police Department was Monday, Nov. 30.

Special presentations honoring his service will be held at 5:30 p.m.

The event is open to the public and those attending are asked to "bring a toast and a story to tell."

  • Sgt. Patterson, You will be missed by not only fellow officers and staff of MHPD but also the community. Thanks for 33 years of great service to this community. The MHPD should be sorry to see such a great asset leaving at such a needed time.

    It is hard to believe it has been 33 years since we chose you over an experienced applicant. The choice obviously was a very good one. Enjoy your retirement, you have earned it.
