Chamber anticipates 500 kids will be served by Giving Tree

The Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce Giving Tree Project has requests for about 500 children to help provide for this Christmas.

There are also seniors and people with disabilities that have signed up for assistance.

This year, the focus of the Chamber project is on clothing.

Beginning Nov. 27, Giving Tree Tags will be available for adoption at the following locations: City Hall, Carlo's Mexican Restaurant, Edward Jones/Shane Zenner, Moxie Java, Home Federal, DeMeyer Furniture, Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce, Grinde's Diner, Walmart, Elmore Medical Center, Idaho Independent Bank, Windjammer Cable and Edward Jones/Patrick Cruiser.

Giving Tree Donation and Gift Collection Boxes are located at the following locations: Paul's Market, Edward Jones/Shane Zenner, Moxie Java, Home Federal, DeMeyer Furniture, Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce, Grinde's Diner, Walmart, Idaho Independent Bank, and Edward Jones/Patrick Cruiser.

The Brown Wrapper also will be a collection point for Giving Tree donations and will be open during the Holiday Light Parade for people to drop off their donations.

Any family, business or club wishing to adopt a whole family or families to help out this year can contact the Chamber by Friday at 587-4334 or email mhcgivingtree@yahoo.com and indicate the size of family, number of senior citizens or people with disabilities you can help.
