Library plans 'Twilight' series event Thursday

The party will coincide with the release of the popular series' new film.

Librarians are working hard on the "New Moon" theme party set for Thursday, Nov. 19, from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Mountain Home Public Library, an event for fans celebrating the opening of the second "Twilight" series film.

The event will include "Twilight" trivia and a drawing for door prizes.

All those attending the party will have the option to create a keepsake unique to the party. If "Twi-hards" choose to participate in this activity, "please be advised you will need to provide your own T-shirt to decorate," the librarians said, adding, "it would probably be advisable to consider white or light grey for the shirt."

A decoration station will be set up where participants will choose and apply an iron-on transfer. There will also be fabric paint pens available to add embellishments to the shirt "to give it the designer's personal touch."

The librarians are encouraging fans to come as their favorite character. "It does take a brave and creative soul to come in costume," Librarian Beverly Davis said, adding that she "would particularly like to see one or more of the newest characters attend the party." She suggested Jane or perhaps Aro as she "doubts that any of the 'New Moon' werewolves could meet the legal criteria to be admitted as a service dog" to the library.
