The Mountain Home Tigers JV football team built up a 26-0 lead through three quarters on their way to a 26-12 win over the Skyview JV in conference football at Tiger Field last Thursday night.

Mountain Home wasted little time in scoring on its opening drive, going 49 yards in three plays. The big play was a hook-and-lateral play good for 42 yards. Austin Clark scored from five yards out to put the Tigers up 6-0 with 11:01 left in the first quarter.

The Tigers scored again in the first quarter, going 63 yards down the field, Austin Clark again scoring from five yards out and adding the PAT kick to make it 13-0.

Tyler Knauth's six-yard pass to Luke Filipovich culminated a 70-yard drive for a Tiger score in the second quarter. Austin Clark's PAT made it 20-0, Tigers, at the half.

Enrique Verala capped off the Mountain Home scoring in the third quarter, scoring from four yards out to give the Tigers a 26-0 lead.

Skyview scored twice in the fourth quarter to make it a 26-12 final.

Austin Clark led the Tigers' rushing game with 97 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries. Juan Silva had 38 yards rushing on seven rushes, Enrique Verala had 36 yards and a score on 11 carries and Alex Rodriguez rushed three times for 10 yards.

Tyler Knauth completed all 10 passes he threw for 138 yards and a touchdown. Ricky Castillo caught four passes for 70 yards, Luke Filipovich had three catches for 33 yards and a touchdown, Austin Clark caught two passes for 27 yards and Juan Silva caught one pass for eight yards.

Defensively, Jesse Corbett led the Tigers with eight tackles, Chaise Hopkins had seven, Jacob Perry had six tackles and a fumble recovery, Alex Rodriguez had five tackles, Luke Filipovich had two tackles and a pass interception and David Katsules had one tackle and one pass interception.

"We played a good all-around game," said Tiger JV head coach Dallan Rupp. "Our offense started strong, giving us an early lead, and the defense held strong throughout.

"Skyview can be dangerous, with one big play hurting you, but we never gave that up. Tyler Knauth had a great game, going 10 for 10. He has done a great job filling in at quarterback while our starter was injured. We couldn't have asked him to do a better job.

"We're looking to finish our season out on a positive note against Emmett."

The Tigers close out their JV schedule Thursday night at Emmett.
