Sharing a gift of music

One grew up in a family of singers and musicians. The other joined the world of music after watching a popular children's cartoon. Together, Jessica Bergstol and Amanda Campbell are part of a team of singers from across southern Idaho hoping to share their love of live musical theater with others.

New members of Opera Idaho's Resident Company based in Boise, Campbell and Bergstol recently became part of a hand-picked team of professional and vocational singers promoting the art of opera across the region. In return, this company gives these women and others like them opportunities to expand their musical talents while providing an outlet to showcase those abilities on stage.

Their connection as military spouses of active duty officers stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base eventually led both women to the Boise-based opera troupe.
