Harvest for Hope benefit set

The Elmore County Domestic Violence Council (ECDVC) is now selling tickets for its "Harvest for Hope" benefit.

The annual fundraiser will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the American Legion Hall, 515 E. 2nd South St. The cost is $25 per person.

The benefit includes a cocktail hour and social, including heavy hors d'oeuvres, and a silent auction beginning at 5:30 p.m., with a live auction beginning at 7:45 p.m.

The local band "Third Take" will provide the entertainment for the dance, which will begin at 9 p.m. For those wanting to attend the dance only, the cost is $10 at the door. Dress is casual. All money raised from the event will help provide victims of domestic violence with shelter, transportation and basic necessities in emergency situations.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at Guaranty Title (ask for Mary Beth Brown or Judy Allred) or obtained at the door. For more information, call Executive Director Jeannie Hodgkiss at 599-0912.
