Free soccer clinic set for Oct. 1

Wednesday, September 30, 2009

A free soccer clinic for boys and girls ages 9-14 will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, from 8 a.m. to noon at Legacy Park.

Players and coaches from the Mountain Home High School soccer teams and the Mountain Home Youth Soccer Association will be there to work with participants.

No payment is needed to participate -- just a donation of a few nonperishable food items to benefit the El-Ada food bank in Mountain Home.

The clinic is an Eagle Scout project being coordinated by local Scout Tyson Gibbons.

There is no need to sign up -- just show up at Legacy Park the morning of the clinic. Parents are asked to accompany their children so contact information can be obtained in case of an emergency.

"You are free to stay or leave once we have your contact information," Gibbons said. "Please pick up your children promptly at noon.

Participants should wear shin guards and bring a water bottle.

For more information contact Gibbons at 580-2132 or 590-3344.
