After falling short against Skyview, the Tigers bounced back to beat Columbia in boys varsity soccer action last week.

Skyview 4, Mountain Home 0

The Tigers were hoping to hand the Hawks their first conference loss when the two teams met last Tuesday at Eastside Park in Mountain Home. However, Skyview had its own plans, making the most of its scoring opportunities, scoring twice in both halves for a 4-0 win.

"We were expecting to do better than that," said Tiger boys soccer coach Paul Walsh after the game. "We were looking forward to the game -- the boys had their head in it -- it just didn't translate to the field play. The guys played hard but Skyview is good, and they pressure the ball."

Fernando Salas had 11 saves on goal for the Tigers against the Hawks.

Mountain Home 3, Columbia 0

The Tigers bounced back into the win column against Columbia, beating the Wildcats 3-0 at Eastside Park last Thursday.

Raif Armstrong, Casey Pehlke and Mike Daniels scored goals against Columbia. Francisco Dominguez, Luke Walsh and Ben Cumber had assists.
