Chamber readies Fall Harvest Fest

Friday, September 25, 2009

The Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for its annual Fall Harvest Festival on Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the downtown area.

Festival committee chairman Stephanie Bergh said the event will follow the same general guidelines as previous years, with some minor changes.

The chili cookoff will no longer be spread throughout the downtown area, but will be concentrated at the Manhattan Bistro.

This year's event also will feature a "home brew" beer tasting contest in a tent set up adjacent to the Chamber of Commerce office.

Entertainment is currently being acquired and will perform on the stage on E. 2nd North Street adjacent to the Chamber office throughout the day.

A pumpkin-painting contest will be held at the Idaho Youth Ranch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It is on the same street as Kurly's. Just down a couple doors towards pauls.
