The Mountain Home Lady Tigers managed a split of their conference girls soccer games last week, losing at home to Kuna, and winning on the road at Nampa.

Kuna 3, Mountain Home 1

The Mountain Home Lady Tigers were primed to hand Kuna its first loss of the season last Tuesday night at Eastside park, but the Lady Kavemen scored two goals in a span of five minutes in the second half to pull away for a 3-1 win.

Kuna scored early to go up 1-0, a lead they took into halftime.

Mountain Home tied the game about 13 minutes into the second half, Anastasia Sansone scoring on an assist by Rachel Warila.

Kuna scored a few minutes later to take the lead, and scored five minutes later to push the lead to 3-1.

"It was a tough one," said Mountain Home girls soccer coach Dan Snelgrow after the game.

"We've got a couple girls that are a little bit under the weather -- no excuse -- but I think we played a little bit flat today. I don't know if it's because some of the illnesses, or what it is, but we'll recover, and get the girls well and come back out on Thursday against Nampa.

Mountain Home had 10 shots on goal for the game. Alicen Wendall had some great stops in getting 12 saves on goal for the game.

Mountain Home 4, Nampa 2

The Lady Tigers bounced back into the win column Thursday at Nampa High, beating the Lady Bulldogs 4-2.

Lauren Moore, Anastasia Sanzone, Rachel Warila and Claudia Bermensolo each scored a goal. Alicen Wendall had 14 saves on goal.

The win improved Mountain Home to 5-2 on the season and 4-2 in conference play.

The Lady Tigers traveled to Bishop Kelly Tuesday and start their second time through their conference schedule Thursday when they host Emmett.
