Letter to the Editor

Go to tonight's meeting

Wednesday, September 16, 2009

Dear editor:

The citizens of Mountain Home have a great opportunity tonight.

Part of the YMCA executive staff will be at the high school this evening from 6-7:30 p.m. They will be educating us in several areas -- namely the process the WECRD has contracted with them to determine the future possibility of a recreation center/YMCA. They also have a plethora of information on the benefit of the different programming and such.

I have been to several orientations, and the most common reaction is...

"I thought I knew what to expect, but now I understand so much better!" It was certainly the case for me as well.

You will find the information fascinating and informative. Even if you can only attend a portion you will benefit from the YMCA's education of our citizens, and you will no longer have to rely on the report of others.

If you have children, you will want to attend.

If you are interested in the future of our community, you will want to attend.

If you pay taxes, you will want to attend!

If you are all for building a recreation center/YMCA, you will want to attend.

If you are opposed to building a recreation center/YMCA, you will want to attend.

I care about the people and the future of our great community. I especially love the youth in this community; this has always been my passion. If you feel the same, I urge you to attend this evening's event.

You will not regret such good use of your time!
