The Mountain Home Tiger boys soccer team bounced back from two straight losses the week before with two conference wins last week.

Tigers 3, Columbia 1

The Tigers bounced back from their Jerome loss with a 3-1 conference win at Columbia last Monday.

Ben Cumber, Jordan Kondon and Raif Armstrong scored goals for Mountain Home. Raif Armstrong and Casey Pehlke had assists. Fernando Salas had nine saves on goal.

Tiger boys soccer coach Paul Walsh was pleased to see his team bounce back with a win.

"We had a little tough time in Jerome, but I think it was good for us -- non-conference -- and sometimes you need a game like that to show you some of your weaknesses, and the guys came back and bounced back and looked really good against Columbia, so that's encouraging."

Tigers 3, Middleton 1

The Tigers picked up their second straight road win, downing the Middleton Vikings 3-1 last Thursday in Middleton.

Raif Armstrong had a goal and two assists, and Jalen Gibbons and Francisco Dominguez also scored goals. Fernando Salas had eight saves on goal.

"It was another nice win," said Coach Walsh. "The guys continue to improve."

The win improved the Tigers to 3-2 on the season and 3-1 in conference soccer. They were at Kuna Tuesday, are home against Nampa on Thursday and Bishop Kelly next Monday.
