Latest museum story book to go on sale

The Mountain Home Historical Society will host a "1st Thursday Luncheon" and special book signing event Oct. 1 at noon as the group showcases its newest publication, "Conversations with History, Volume 5."

This book features transcripts from "1st Thursday" lectures and interviews by Jim Alexander, Wanda Corbus, Susan Evans Oberst, Leanna Whitney, Bob Rhead, Bill Day, Lauralee Biggs, Paul Anderson, Perce Hall, Yvonne Dellamore, Jim Hines and Rex Kite.

All of their stories build on the history of the region. Some of the featured speakers in "Conversations with History, Volume 5" will be available at the luncheon to sign books. Each book costs $23.95 (plus $1.44 tax).

The latest collection of lectures and oral histories will go on sale Oct. 1.

There will be a special offer for all five volumes priced at $100 (plus $6 tax). For four volumes the special price is $85.80 (plus $5.15 tax).
