Two-car collision blocks traffic

Two vehicle accident blocks traffic at American Legion and North Main Street.

A two-vehicle accident at the corner of American Legion Boulevard and North Main Street temporarily snarled traffic in the area around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The collision between a semi truck and Chevrolet Lumina damaged the passenger car while the semi blocked the two left lanes on North Main Street.

The Elmore County Sheriff diverted traffic at the corner of American Legion and N. 2nd East Street for approximately 30 minutes to allow responding officers to clear the accident scene and remove debris. The driver of the semi was able to drive his truck out of the intersection to allow police to reopen the intersection.

The Mountain Home Police Department continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
