Olive Elizabeth Fuhriman, 86, of Boise, Idaho, died Wednesday, August 12, 2009 in Boise of natural causes.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 21, 2009 at the S. Cole LDS Church, 1211 S. Cole Rd., Boise. Burial followed in Dry Creek Cemetery.
Olive was born on May 12, 1923 in Glenns Ferry, Idaho, the daughter of George E. and Florence E. Rousch Sherman. She grew up in Glenns Ferry and graduated from Glenns Ferry High School and from Link's School of Business. On December 21, 1947, Olive was married to Glen M. Fuhriman in Winnemucca, Nevada. She was a member of the LDS Church and a lifetime member of VFW Aux. 63. She volunteered for AARP, the Ada County Sheriff's Office and the Boise Police Department.
Survivors include her children, Karen E. Derosier, Boise, ID, Terry Fuhriman, Parma, ID, Tom Fuhriman, Fairview, UT, Connie Quinn, Ft. Huachuca, AZ, and Rich Fuhriman, Boise, ID; twenty-five grandchildren; forty-seven great-grandchildren; and her sister, Ellen Simpson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen M. Fuhriman; sisters, Dorothy Doyle, Grace Stokes, and Irene Love; brothers, Elbert Sherman and Lynn Sherman; and both parents.
