Stella Seesee

Stella C. Seesee, 88, of Hammett, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2009, surrounded by family in the home where she lived for the past 64 years. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 21, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Glenns Ferry and burial will follow at Glenn Rest Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home McMurtrey Chapel.

Stella was the daughter of Guy and Grace Heath. She was born Dec. 7, 1920, and lived her entire life in the southwestern Idaho area. She graduated from Boise High School in 1939.

On July 27, 1941, she married Kenneth Seesee at the United Methodist Church of Glenns Ferry. Stella and Ken farmed and ranched at their Snake River home, where they were well known for the watermelons they raised.

Stella is survived by two sons: Tom A. Seesee and his wife Olga of Abu Dhabi, UAE and Kenneth D. and his wife Betty Seesee of Burley, two daughters: Virginia and her husband Martin Siegwein of Hammett, and Lenora and her husband Dave Fields of Coeur dıAlene. Also surviving are eight grandchildren: Sheri Seesee, Scott Fields, Brett Fields, Alex Siegwein, Mandy Siegwein, Thomas Seesee, Lisa Seesee and Alexandra Seesee.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: John and Thomas Heath, three sisters: Wilma Brooks, Mary Ford and Elsie Ruberry and a grandson Michael Seesee.
