Monday, August 17, 2009

Mike Buckner and Jules Sapp from WalMart recently presented a check for $5,000 to Michelle Yalch and Ron Rossi of the Relay For Life of Elmore County/Mountain Home program. WalMart is a national corporate sponsor for the event but this year the local WalMart became a major participant.

Over 50 WalMart employees participated in the relay, which took place June 19-20.

Yalch expressed appreciation for the WalMart teams' support stating that "Relay For Life is about a community that takes up the fight against cancer" and the participation from WalMart greatly added to the community feel of the event.

Donations to this year's event can still be made online at www.HopeForCureNow.com or by mailing a check to the American Cancer Society, 2676 Vista Ave, Boise, ID 83705 and designating "RFL Elmore County" in the memo line.
