Basque Picnic set Aug. 8

The 49th Annual Mountain Home Basque Picnic will be held Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Mountain Home Basque Park.

The traditional Basque dinner will be held from 3-5 p.m. The meal will include lamb, Basque rice, red beans with chorizo, salad and bread. Dinner ticket prices are $12 for adults if obtained before the picnic. Prices the day of the picnic are $15 adults and $6 for children.

Tickets are on sale from any Euskal Lagunak board member or at city hall. Euskal Lagunak is the local Basque organization.

Scheduled picnic events and performances include:

* Children's Games at 5:30 p.m.

* Adult Games at 6:30 p.m.

* Etxeko Gazteak Dancers at 7:30 p.m.

* Oinkari Basque Dancers at 8 p.m.

Live music by Amuma Says No will begin at 9 p.m.
