Hacker kids say thanks for help with tin can drive

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Dear editor:

Hacker Middle School collected 653 ponds of aluminum but the community kept on collecting. With the community donations and United Metals matching pound for pound we ended up with over 1,800 pounds. We, the seventh-grade team building classes, would like to say thank you to everyone who helped with the Ronald McDonald House aluminum drive.

Dear editor:

I would like to thank this generous community of ours. Why you ask? Do you remember that goal we had here at Hacker Middle School? In two months we collected over 653 pounds of aluminum for the Ronald McDonald House in Boise. Well after our school finished collecting the aluminum, our community wanted to do more. With the help of many in Mountain Home we ended up collecting a lot of aluminum. So, I'd like to thank the 366th Logistics Readiness Squadron for their 90 pounds and everyone in this town who donated. United Metals matched our donation pound for pound and we collected 1,805 lbs. total. There will be much happier faces at the Ronald McDonald House.

Dear editor:

Thank you community for helping collect aluminum for the Ronald McDonald House. We collected 1,805 pounds. A special thanks to United Metals for matching pound for pound. Another special thanks to the 366th Logistics Readiness Squadron for collecting 90 pounds. We had a lot of fun collecting aluminum and it helped out a lot of families so they can stay at the Ronald McDonald House.
