Family members admired the students' work.

Students at the summer Art Camp in Mountain Home held an art show Friday, June 5, in the classroom of art instructor Brenda Raub in the high school annex.

A total of 47 students of the 5-, 6- and 7-year-old Art Camp proudly showed their projects to their families and friends at the 11 a.m. art show.

The camp was taught by Mrs. Raub and volunteer helpers Nicole Blanchart, Courtney Arel and Ashley Heckathorn, who helped the students complete four art projects a day.

The students learned everything from basic art drawing, making clay robots, planting flowers, homemade paper making and making pottery pots.

The students' pottery projects will be on display at the Brown Wrapper, which is helping with the firing of the pottery, through July 1, The Brown Wrapper will also be giving special donated prizes to the pottery projects that have a star sticker on them.

The summer Art Camps are available every year to students ages 5-7.

A second class is offered to those ages 7-10. They also showed their work at a later art show.
