Based on legal advice given to them at their meeting Monday, where they discussed the rezone, the commissioners will be limited to addressing only the rezone of more than 1200 acres of agricultural land southwest of Hammett to a heavy industrial zone, without specifically addressing the reason for the rezone -- the potential construction of a nuclear power plant.
The commissioners Monday requested some more specific legal advice before they make their decision. The discussion on that decision will begin at 9 a.m. in the commissioners' meeting room at the courthouse.

Anything to waste more time!
I still don't understand how they can separate the two things (rezoning and the nuclear plant) when one opens the door to the other. It's like making a decision while refusing to acknowledge the consequences of that decision. Does that make sense to anyone else?
