Book signing event slated for Mountain Home author

The Mountain Home Arts Council will host a book signing for local author Chris DeVore at Common Ground Coffee and Plants on Saturday, May 16, from 1-3 p.m.

DeVore will be signing his third novel, "A Palatable Past," which was released by PublishAmerica earlier this year. Copies will be available for purchase at $20. Refreshments will be served and coffee will also be available for purchase.

DeVore, author of "Catching the Flathead Monster" and "The Literary Detective", is a journalist and bookshop owner. He grew up in Polson, Mont., and earned his literature degree from the University of Puget Sound. Following stints in Ellensburg, Wash., and Albany, Oregon, he currently resides in Mountain Home, with his wife, Hannah, and their three children. He serves on the Mountain Home Arts Council's Board of Directors and is a member of the Literary Arts Committee.

  • I have read Chris' other two books, his works are definatly worth reading. It will be interesting to meet him in person.
