Possible Cougar sighting

Saturday, May 2, 2009

Elmore County Dispatch received a call Friday of a possible sighting of a large cat with a long tail between the Mountain Home Shuttle Service and the railroad tracks.

Law Enforcement, Fish & Game, and the Animal Shelter were sent to investigate.

Officials found no evidence of tracks or spoor.

Dispatch reported receiving numerous calls from parents stating that children were texting them from class and saying that the schools were in lockdown. Dispatch stated that they had not received any official confirmation of any of the local schools being lockdown.
