Book sale slated for Saturday

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

The Friends of the Library will hold a spring book sale this Saturday, April 18, at the Mountain Home Library, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The group has sorted out thousands of donated books for the sale.

Friends of the Library is a non-profit committee that uses the proceeds from its book sales to help the Mountain Home Public Library with equipment and displays improvements.

The group holds occasional membership drives, sets up special displays in Carl Miller Park during Air Force Appreciation Day for book sales, and always offers books "at prices you could never beat, sometimes even offering a flat price for a bag of books, for as many as you can put in," said spokesperson Mike Bradbury.

The books range from children's books, to history, to how-to books to Louis L'Amour.

"Whatever your reading pleasure might be, you'll be sure to find something right up your alley, at the right price, and you'll leave the sale knowing you're helping our town library in its continued efforts to provide the best selection and modes of education possible," Bradbury said.
