J.T. Cristobal had two hits, Luke Hand had a hit and three RBIs, David Bitrick and Jesse Buck both had hits and two RBIs, Jake Hennessey and Tyler Wright also had hits.

"It was a great opening game," said Tiger JV baseball coach Matt Bundy. "Nice to start the season with a win. Devon Wilkinson threw a 56-pitch complete game for the win. It was an awesome opening performance!"

In the March 12 game at Emmett, the Huskies battled back from behind three different times to win the game, 18-17. The Tigers had scored six runs in the top of the seventh to go up, 17-16, but Emmett pushed across two runs in the bottom of the inning for the win.

"It was a see-saw battle," said Coach Bundy. "Lots of runs, and we ended up one short at the end. Jared Day threw the foruth and did a good job, but suffered the loss."

Tyler Wright and Ronny Young both had two hits and two RBIs in the second game against Emmett. Luke Hand had a hit and two RBIs, David Bitrick and Coleton Podesek had hits, and Tyler Rhodes had an RBI.

In the game at Bishop Kelly, the Tigers managed just three runs and five hits against the Knights, who won, 13-3, in six innings.

The Tigers hosted Bishop Kelly on Friday, and scored seven runs in the second and six runs in the fifth to power them to a 14-10 win.

"It was an awesome game," said Coach Bundy. "We played well and had lots of fun. Tyler (Wright) and Alex (Rodriguez) both hit dingers in the second inning to really get us going. Alex hit another one in the fourth to bring us back even, and then we really took it to them in the fifth. Jon McCabe pitched a solid 3 1/3 innings and then A-Rod came in to finish the deal. Both guys threw well and Alex came away with the victory, and Jon had a quality start."
